Thread: Image Bundle in GXT

    Question Image Bundle in GXT

    Good day everyone,

I'd like to ask if there is a way to have the GXT core classes use image bundles. Looking at Firebug, several image requests are made when rendering some controls such as grids (one for the header dropdown, one of checkbox columns, etc.).

The present ImageBundle support is nice, but this is only at the application level if I'm not mistaken. I wonder if GXT itself can use this to minimize the number of requests. Or maybe there's a reason why this isn't implemented (yet)? Would the resulting master image file be too large? Are there workarounds? Kindly enlighten me.

    Thanks in advance.

EDIT: My apologies. This should have been posted in the GXT Help board. Mods please move to the proper board.

With the current imagebundle of GWT 1.6/1.7 this is technically not possible. With GWT 2 and ClientBundle this will change.
