Thread: Why is RowSelectionModel so slow?

Default Why is RowSelectionModel so slow?

Specifically, it seems that the "selectionchange" event of the RowSelectionModel takes an unacceptably long time to process. In contrast, the rowclick event is much faster. Is there a reason for this? I really need a selectionchange event, and not a rowclick event so that's why I tried the RowSelectionModel, but the performance is completely unacceptable. And I'm only talking about a grid with like 50 rows and maybe 10 columns. And selecting multiple rows takes an even more ridiculous time.

This type of post doesn't really tell us anything.
You say it's slow, but provide no details. What browser, demo code, etc? Row selection in the array grid example runs fine, with no noticeable lag.

Please post details that might allow someone to assist you.
