    Yes, this seems to be a problem on Safari 3.1 for Mac (Safari on Windows is fine).

    Unfortunately, not many of us have a Mac, so it could take a while before this problem is solved.

    Default How about....

    .... Upgrading?

    Windows XP + Safari 4.0.4 works fine in my app.

    Do you use a DocType? Because leaving it out inflicted some problems with menu's in the past with IE7.

    Code:
    	<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible"  content="IE=EmulateIE7" />
    that's what i, put it after a head tag.

    Changing the doctype shouldn't affect Safari.

    ps. This problem was caused by a Safari 3.1 bug. Simply upgrade Safari to the latest version.

    He was speaking in terms of IE support. I find that doctype is necessary on almost every ExtJS app I develop, and even then IE isn't *100%* compatible.

    We are running safari on the iPAD, so upgrading is not an option, until a new OS version is available.
