Thread: [FIXED] [1.2]Interactively Resizing Grid column sometimes resizes wrong column

    Default [FIXED] [1.2]Interactively Resizing Grid column sometimes resizes wrong column

    Interactively resizing a column in a Grid frequently resizes the wrong column.

    I have seen this problem in hosted mode, Firefox, and Safari, all running on Mac OSX.

    I have a grid control that was created like this:

    ListStore<BeanModel> store = createGridStore(); // my method
    ColumnModel columnModel = createColumnModel(claimId); //my method

    grid = new Grid<BeanModel>(store, columnModel);
    grid.setAutoExpandColumn("ticketSubj");
    grid.setLoadMask(true);
    grid.setStripeRows(true);
    grid.setBorders(true);
    grid.getView().setForceFit(true);

    When interactively resizing columns about 25-50% of the time, the wrong column is resized. It seems like when you increase the size of a column the first time, say column A, that it's size increases successfully. But then when you try to increase the size of any column other than A, column A is again resized. It also seems like decreasing the size of a column is successful, and causes the Grid to "reset", and you can successfully increase the size of a new column, say column B. However once you increase the size of column B, all attempts to increase the size of a column other than B, result in column B getting resize.

    this is a serious problem (by serious, i mean our customers will certainly notice and complain). sometimes it is quite difficult to get the correct column to resize, it will keep resizing the wrong column. sometimes it is less noticeable than others.

    you can even notice this problem running the examples directly off the ext-gwt site: http://extjs.com/examples/grid/grid.html

    please me know when there is a workaround / patch.

    Thanks
    Keith

    I just wanted to emphasize this thread. We also spotted this problem which is really annoying... Same settings (MacOSX, Firefox or Safari, GXTv.1.2).
