From what I remember and doesn't look like this is getting fixed anytime soon (even though it's a super simple fix) is that the certificate Inspector was bundled with expired. This causes any HTTPS connection to not work and you'd have to work outside HTTPS.

I wouldn't hold your breath, it's been a known issue for a while now and nothing has been done. It's really a simple fix, just don't think Inspector has been a big seller so the desire to do an update was ever really high.
