Default Prevent all rows from being selected when user clicks checkbox header column

In the below fiddle, I have a grid which has the spreadsheet selModel on it. I have set "checkboxSelect" to true so that rows can be selected by checkbox. I have set "showHeaderCheckbox" to false to not display a checkbox in the header of the checkbox column. However, if I click on the space where the header checkbox would be displayed, all rows in my grid still get selected. How do I prevent this?

That sounds like a bug to me. Without the header checkbox, clicking the column header should highlight the cells, not check all the boxes, in my opinion.
