Thread: getValue() vs. getValues()

    Default getValue() vs. getValues()

    Hello,

    I have a "numberfield" where:
    Code:
    typeof(numberfield.getValue())
    returns "number"; whereas (note the plural):
    Code:
    typeof(form.getValues(false).numberfield)
    returns "string"

    Is there a reason for this? Is it possible to get "number" for many numberfields in one go?

    I read it before, thanks.

    Now where does it mention that it converts the types?

    The value in "key/value pairs" could easily be a number.

    The key words are "as they would be submitted using a standard form submit"

    The only things you can send in a form submission are strings.

    Ah, ok. Thanks!

    And is there a way to get numbers from many numberfields in bulk? Or do I have to getValue() for each one?

    You have to call getValue for each one.
