    Default Answered: Safari Rendering Performance

Has anyone noticed any issues with Safari (iPad / Safari on Desktop) render performance? We're running into an problem where the application just hangs while rendering. We were able to clear this up slightly by removing a few <Containers /> but it seems that the contains left are ones we "need".

We have a TabPanel that contains a form with about 50 fields in it. All wrapped in Fieldsets and Containers with mixed vbox and hbox layouts for presentation.

Any specific issues we should be looking for to clear this up?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jon

  2. Yes, there is a known issue with Safari's implementation of flexbox. You can overcome this in many cases by setting autoSize={false} on certain containers. The issue is described in more detail on the docs for Container's autoSize prop: http://docs.sencha.com/extreact/6.5....l#cfg-autoSize

Thanks Mark. That did resolve the performance issues after re-configuring a bunch of the parent containers. It's an unfortunate issue as it requires doing a lot of manual configurations on those outer containers just for Safari.

Did anyone try if this fixed in High Sierra?
