Plugin constantly crashes

Hi all, I'm currently on IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate 2017.1.5 and this plugin constantly crashes the within the IDE and because of that, actually reduces functionality eg. I can no longer go to a definition from a view to a view controller etc.

Has anyone else experienced this?

This happens to me when I'm using WebStorm. Unbearable. The IDE chokes so much on the errors that the plugin just stops doing any of the things it's intended to do (code completion, requires array tasks, etc.)

I have installed IntelliJ IDE Version 2017.3.2 (Trial for 30 days)
Downloaded Sencha -jetbrains-plugin-6.0.11.531
Tried to Create a New Sencha ExtJS Application and get the error:
java.lang.Object cannot be cast to com.sencha.idea.ui.NewAppModel
