Thread: can't resolve chartnavigator listeners scope

Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTJS-26024 in 6.5.2.463.

Default can't resolve chartnavigator listeners scope

I can't resolve named methods on viewcontroller while using chartnavigator component

If you listen for any axis, series events , they will throw an exception

Error: No method named "myMethod" on Ext.chart.CartesianChart

Hey @animal, I am just curious about this methodology you have used at override.

Could you explain why did you use $initParent? Why $? Could be replaced with Ext.apply()? Any explanation is apreciated.

    Just for my knowlodgement!

    Thank you!

Ext.apply would be an extra function call, and all it would do is necessitate the creation of an object, the creation of a call frame and a function call to inject one property into the configuration object. It's more efficient to simply set a property.

The $initParent property is an internal property we set during component creation to provide an upward link for component tree inheritance purposes before the component is placed into its final parent container. It's temporary, hence why it's deleted afterwards. But it means that initialization code can access inherited state.
