Default Combobox - Show Validation Error insteadof Clearing input when forceSelection is true

Does anyone knows Instead of Clearing user input, how to show validation error in combobox field when forceSelection is true and typeAhead is also true?

I'm not sure it can be done that way. The forceSelection functionality clears the text before it is ever set as a value, so it is never a validation error, and events like 'change' are never fired.

Are you looking display a message such as 'you must chose a value from the list' or would a red border around the field suffice? Normally you could set allowBlank: false, but there is an existing bug that cause the field not to be visually marked invalid.
