Default Field Ccontainer layout bug in form layout

    Hi to all.

    Please refer to this fiddle:

    https://fiddle.sencha.com/#view/editor&fiddle/1p4v

The fiddle shows a example of panel form layout.
The layout wrongs if a "fieldcontaniner" is contained by panel.
The bug avoid the containerfield is properly lined as the same is for other fields.
    Bye.

    Sergio.

Not sure if I understood your concern but I created a fiddle to show you a couple of options. Does this address your concerns?

    Hi Kevin.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I will try to explain better where is, in my opinion, the bug.
Now we considering our example: if you consider all the other fields than the "fieldcontainer", you will notice that these are all stretched to fill the entire width of their container panel.
Furthermore, by stretching the container panel, all the fields will adjust their width to fit the new size of the container.
Instead the "fieldcontainer" field does not behave like all other fields. In fact, as you can see, its width does not cover the width of its container, as other fields do.
Also, by resizing the container panel, the "fieldcontainer" does not adjust its width as other fields do.
Now, from what I understood from the documentation, a "fieldcontainer" is a field that is a container itself and sametime, as a field, it should behave like all the other fields of the example.
Let me know if I explained me rigth.
    Bye.

    Sergio.

    Sergio -
It is a field in the sense that it has the labelable mixin. It is a container so that you can have multiple items with one label. Trying to see if I can find/create an example for you. Not sure at the moment if it is possible.

I hit the same bug, fieldcontainer inside a component with layout: 'form' doesn't stretch to max width as all other form fields do.

The problem seems to be in Ext.layout.component.field.FieldContainer which uses the child to heigth and width calculation instead of the other way round.

Hell, not even Ext.form.Panel uses the form layout but anchor!
