Default Pinning Rows in a Modern List

Is there any way to pin a row at the top of a Modern List? I want the first row to always stay at the top and others to scroll? I am hoping there is some easier way than creating 2 lists, one with the first row, and the other with the rest of the rows.

I don't believe that there's anything built-in that will lock a row that way. Here's some older related threads.
