You found a bug! We've classified it as EXTJS-22720 . We encourage you to continue the discussion and to find an acceptable workaround while we work on a permanent fix.

Default Ext 6.2.0 don't listen mouse events when touch or pointer events are supported

Using ext6.2.0 to create sample app and mouse isn't work when touch events or pointer events are supported. It looks like to be caused by the logic in ext-all-rtl-debug.js or ext-all-debug.js(#34753). When pointer events or touch events are supported, it wouldn't listen mouse events unless the UA is webkit-based desktop UA with touch supported. Should we consider to listen mouse events even touch is supported? Because users may still use mouse to control the UA on desktop.

Another problem is the deprecated API navigator.pointerEnabled [1] is used to check if pointer events are supported. Should it be replaced by window.PointerEvent?

Are you talking about classic toolkit or modern toolkit?

I'm not sure whether it's class toolkit or modern toolkit. I just create a sample app (like following snapshot) with extjs6.2 and found the buttons in the left are not work. It works on Chrome and Edge but not on Firefox.

It's because Ext.isWebkit is true on both Chrome and Edge but false on Firefox.

I see. Can you please post a test case which reproduces this issue?

I didn't do anything special, I just created a app with commands, that's all I did.

iamstone is a FF dev who is trying to tell you that both touch and mouse pointer events should be supported at the same time on FF by ExtJS instead of choosing one or another. Also, ExtJS is using deprecated API to decide which one to use.

    Question Status on this?

Did this ever get resolved? It still appears to be an issue with ExtJS 6.2.2 using the classic toolkit on FireFox 52.0.2.

    Thanks,
    David

Unfortunately this is still unresolved at this time. It has a very high priority so hopefully it gets addressed soon.

Has this been addressed in the latest release or is it still a bug? Any work arounds without having to set Firefox settings?
