Default Ext.grid.Panel ignores flex when using column items in header

Since 6.2+ Ext.grid.Panel ignores flex when using column items.

    Ext version tested:
    • 6.0.2.437 - working
    • 6.2.0.981 - Does not work
    • nightly - Does not work
    Browser versions tested against:
    • Chrome 51.0.2704.103 (64-bit)
    DOCTYPE tested against:
    • html
    Description:
    • create a grid with flex and column items.
    • in 6.0.2 it works just fine
    • upgrade to 6.2 and flex will get ignored

    https://fiddle.sencha.com/#fiddle/1gtf 6.0.2.437
    https://fiddle.sencha.com/#fiddle/1gtd 6.2.0.981
    https://fiddle.sencha.com/#fiddle/1gtg 6.2.x nightly

    Steps to reproduce the problem:
    • Create a grid in fiddle with 6.2+
    • Add columns without items and flex:1
    • klick run in fiddle and it looks just fine
    • Add a item to the column with flex:1
    • klick again run in fiddle an flex wil get ignored!

    The result that was expected:
    • I would expect the column to flex.

    The result that occurs instead:
    • The column will render in the minimum size.

Same here: any news on this issue? Incredible to believe that such a core piece of grid functionality is broken. This issue has stopped all our migration projects. When will this be fixed?

When will this problem be fixed in GPL version ? Will it be fixed in GPL 6.2.1, and when will this version be available ?

Is there a workaround available to fix this problem ? I asked the question also on stackoverflow and posted my own workaround.

    I've found a solution - https://fiddle.sencha.com/#view/editor&fiddle/2kgh.
I noticed also, that the bug is only with version 6.2.0.981
