Default setWidth on grid column not working

I am using Ext JS 5.1. I have a grid which is rendered and in view.
However, if I call setWidth on one of the grid columns, the column is not resized.
    For example

    PHP Code:
    grid.columns[0].setWidth(200
The column still stays at the same width. Is there anyway to set the grid columns dynamically??

Thanks for the report. Can you please post a test case which reproduces the issue you are seeing?
