Thread: TabIndex not set until you click on the fields (in grid columns)

Looks like we can't reproduce the issue or there's a problem in the test case provided.

Default TabIndex not set until you click on the fields (in grid columns)

    Ext version tested:
    • Ext 5.1.? (Nightly 2015-01-04)

    Browser versions tested against:
    • Chrome 39
    • FF 34
    • IE 10

    Description:
    • Place some text fields in grid columns
    • If you click on the first field and then you press TAB, the focus does NOT go to the next field.
    • If you inspect the input items, you see that all have "tabindex=-1".
    • When you click on a field, the tabindex is changed to 0, so the field becomes reachable when pressing "TAB".
    • So you have to click manually on all the fields before they are reachable with the TAB.

Steps to reproduce the problem (example 1):
    • Run the Fiddle
    • Click on Field 1
    • Press TAB
    • Focus does not go to Field 2

Steps to reproduce the problem (example 1):
    • Run the Fiddle
    • Click on Fields 1, 3, 5
    • Click on Field 1 and press TAB twice ==> focus moves to Field 3 and then Field 5
    • Now click also on Fields 2, 4
    • Click on Field 1 and press TAB twice ==> focus moves to Field 2 and then Field 3 (instead of Field 3 and then Field 5 as before)

The Fiddle is copied from this bug report: Ext 5: "isNonData" console error when grid store don't have any records.
That bug is fixed now, but I saw this new bug trying the Fiddle of that bug report.

Correction: this is not a bug since we do not support keyboard accessible edit fields in Grid column headers at this time.

We plan to implement this feature at some point but I'm not sure on timing.

    Alex.
