Seems to still be the case for 6.0.2. Any ideas for a workaround?

I'm running into the same issue (6.0.1.250). Did you find a workaround?

This may not be the workaround people are looking for, but I thought of a way to get around this that might work for other people if the order of your pie slices does not matter.

Basically, I am ordering my slices by alternating between my biggest slices and my smallest slices. This better ensures that two small slices are not right next to each other, which can lead to the overlapping labels.

Definitely not perfect, but it is a quick fix.

Looks like there's a duplicate for this issue: EXTJS-20496. It has been fixed for 6.2.2. I see an override on the bug ticket, so Support subscribers can open a ticket to gain access to it.
