Default Answered: grid celleditor plugin does not handle accents (UTF?) Basic question

The cell editor plugin displays html markup instead of a german umelat.

Can somebody point me to the topic I need to be searching for?

Or give me the three sentence overview?

Do I need a WSYIWYG editor, a TinyMCE plugin, or am I looking for a config property, or ...?

    Thanks

  2. Thank you Gary for your reply.

This is a database encoding issue.

The table was encoded as latin_1. Switching to UTF did the trick.

This leaves me with a different situation that has nothing to do with sencha (whew!!)

For other dummies like me, I eventually found a keyboard simulator so I could enter funny stuff. Google for it.

    Sencha performed flawlessly.

    Many thanks.

Seems like it works in this Fiddle taken from the doc example.

I am able to enter letters with umelat through the editor as well.
