Thread: Ext.grid cellIndex does not match columns array

Looks like we can't reproduce the issue or there's a problem in the test case provided.

Default Ext.grid cellIndex does not match columns array

    Ext version tested:
    • Ext 4.2 rev 1
    Browser versions tested against:
    • Chrome

    Description:

I have controller with "cellclick" handler, so that I can toggle cell value. To do that, I need to access corresponding column that has additional data / settings needed for toggle. Received cellIndex does not match "columns" array when 'Ext.selection.CheckboxModel' is used. Grid.columns will not contain checkbox column, and index will mismatch by one.

This worked fine with previous build, so why grid.columns is now broken?

    With Ext 4.2 (4.2.0?): Build date: 2013-04-10 13:07:48 (5666a13403de1690768122924485271bdcc83b7f)
    I get this result:

    4.2.0.png
Column manager does not exists, but I get proper list by just calling "grid.columns"
Here received cellIndex will match columns array. All good. Lets move to next version:

    With Ext 4.2 (4.2.1?): Build date: 2013-05-16 14:36:50 (f9be68accb407158ba2b1be2c226a6ce1f649314)
    I get this result:
    4.2.1.png
Here the grid.columns returns wrong values... the index will not match column array. I have used private columnManager to get the "right columns".... What happened with grid.columns???

Thanks for the report. Can you please post a test case which reproduces the problem?

Sorry I read that thread more closely, and yes getColumnManager is new to 4.2.2. You might try posting to that thread as well to see if anyone has found a solution for 4.2.1.
