Upgraded, but still prompts for major release every startup

Architect Build tested:

• Build: 1039

Project Type:

• NA (well ExtJS4.2.2 but the issue is before you get to the point where you open the project).

Description:

• I got the message to upgrade, upgraded, and now still get the message every start of SA application.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

• Close architect.
• Open architect.

The result that was expected:

• It should stop bothering me.

The result that occurs instead:

• 'Update Available' window shows, showing I have the current version.

Operating System:

• Win7 64bit.

I've tried the following without success:

1. Uninstall current version
2. Uninstall sencha cmd.
3. Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sencha, Inc. and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sencha Inc.
4. Delete sencha folders under appdata\local (kept license file)
5. Download 2.2.3 1039 from main website (pointed to by update screen)
6. Install fresh download.
7. Replace license file
8. Start application
9. Get prompt.

I've tried starting from existing shortcuts, xds files, and the exe file in program files(x86) folder.

I've rebooted, re-installed, rolled back to 2.2.2 then upgraded. What else can I do?

1039 is not the latest.

Version 2.2.3 Build 1044
Release Channel: 2.2.3-stable

is the latest build. Can you try to re-download? Possibly it's been cached?


There is one critical fix between the 1039 and 1044 build relating to OS X users.

I just got the same problem with the Windows version. Now in 2.2.3 built 1039

Update: I downloaded the file again and installed it over my current installation, problem disapeared and version is now 2.2.3 build 1044.

Just downloaded and reinstalled and still have the issue. Ultimately it takes me to this exe file:

http://cdn.sencha.com/architect/2.2....tect-2.2.3.exe

Which when I download>right click>properties>details product version is 2.2.3.001039.

Tried with two different browsers just to make sure it wasn't anything there. I guess I'll try and download it from another internet connection a bit later.

Shove a cachebuster at the end of the url like:

http://cdn.sencha.com/architect/2.2....e?783735890735

Does it download the right version now?

Yes, now I have the new version with the cachebuster url (why didn't I think of that), and the original one still pulls the old version. Something in between us must be caching.

I am on windows on build 1039, I get a message that there's a new Major Update, but the only critical fix in this new build 1044 is a fix for OsX?

Are there release notes for this build anywhere that will show me what's changed in this new build and if it's worth upgrading?

Unfortunately 1044 never got updated on there, we'll get this resolved this week. The short answer is it is exactly like 1039 but updates the binary to fix a bug that only manifested itself in OS X. In OS X there were certain conditions which would lead to grey splotchy boxes over top of the app at times.
