Default Why the Premium forums are restricted for viewing for non-premium members?

    Hello,

I do not understand well, why the Premium forums are restricted for viewing for non-premium members?

Well, I understand the restriction not to start threads or make posts (though, the last is also a bit disputable), but why not to view?

A possible reason could be privacy. However, it doesn't look the reason, because as far as I can understand any premium member can view all the threads including the ones of any other premium member. Privacy for community members? Seems it doesn't make sense.

I think huge amount of questions are being asked and answered in the Premium forums which are interesting for all the community.

Also there is other case. I post a bug report, but it is being considered as a feature request and moved to the Premium Feature Requests forum and I am not able even to monitor this thread further.

I cannot believe you are forcing to buy a premium support subscription this way

I guess there might some other reasons, which I cannot comprehend. If any, could someone share, please?

They shouldn't be moved and will make sure those working in the forums will know not to move the threads there. There were 4 threads from you in the premium feature request forum that I moved into the Bugs forum so you can view these, looks like you used to be a premium user so there were some that were legit to be in there but have moved them into the bugs forum.

Thank you for the answer, Mitchell.

Those threads were definitely moved from non-premium forums (Open Discussions and Bugs ones) , because I have never been a premium member Sometimes I post feature requests in Open Discussions forums. Once or twice I was rewarded with opening a ticket and the thread was moved to Feature Request. Other ones were in the Bugs forum. You know, at times there is a very thin line between a bug and a feature request. So, your colleague probably decided that it is rather a feature request, but it is worth not to ignore it.

Anyway, thank you for moving those in the Bugs forum (though, some of them are a real feature request). At least, I will be able to review it. Before I annoyed my chief to review them. He has "Ext Partner" status, so, has the permission. By the way, can I get that "Ext Partner" as well actually being your partner (I am from Ext.NET)

Though, my main concern in the current thread is in the title. So, any comments, yours or others, are appreciated.

The Bugs forum isn't just for bugs but can hold any type of Jira issue in it.

We currently don't have any special things for partners at this time but will happen for all our partners.

Does it really mean I can post a feature request there without being ashamed by your colleagues?

    Hi Mitchell,

I just posted a feature request on the Bugs forums, but it has been moved to the Open Discussions. Probably by Evan because he looks active currently

Did I not indicate that it is a feature request? I mean is there anything wrong with my request or is it just Evan's VS Mitchell/Gary's policies battle?

I moved it back to bugs forum and pushed it up as a feature request.
