Thread: #appLoadingIndicator css performance

    Default #appLoadingIndicator css performance

    I just started looking at sencha touch again after being busy with a mostly css focused project.

    I just generated a new project using the new SenchaCmd and sencha 2.1.0 SDK and the first thing i noticed was the following css selector:

    #appLoadingIndicator > * {}
    This is for the 3 dots.
    Css gets read from right to left so using the * in css isn't a very smart thing to do so now all items get selected and then the browser looks if the parent has the id: "appLoadingIndicator".

    I think it would be wiser to use:

    #appLoadingIndicator > div {}
    Is there a reason the styling is done on the * selector?
    I know there aren't alot of elements in the DOM at that time but why not do it a bit cleaner?

    seems like this isn't important?
