    Default [2.1.0-b3] Draggable component overflow parent container when dragged

    Ext version tested:
    • [2.1.0-b3]

    Browser versions tested against:
    • All compatible - Chrome, Safari, Webkit (iOS and Android 4)

    DOCTYPE tested against:
    • HTML 5

    • Draggable component overflows its container, when dragged outside boundaries. Constraint parameter is set to null to allow dragging image that fills entire component. It worked greate on ST 2.0

    Steps to reproduce the problem:
    • create a panel with draggable item inside that fills entire space, set constraint to null
     items: [
                    xtype: 'image',
                    id: 'viewerImage',
                    src: 'resources/images/empty_view.png',
                    draggable: {
                        direction: "both",
                        constraint: null,
                        bubbleEvents: 'dragend'
                    style: {
                        background: 'white'

    The result that was expected:
    • component should be draggable, but should not overflow / cover neighboring components.

    The result that occurs instead:
    • Dragged component floats over other components outside boundaries. That was not the case in ST 2.0. It should behave simmilar to scroller, that does not scroll outside of component (the overflow is hidden)

    Screenshot or Video:
    • attached

    See this URL for live test case:

    Debugging already done:
    • none

    Possible fix:
    • not provided

    Thanks for the report! I have opened a bug in our bug tracker.

    Just my opinion, as a user I would expect it to get hidden as in your video, I wouldn't expect it to go above the list on the left.

    Yes of course, that is what I mean!
    But it stayed hidden WHILE dragging, and after release. Now in 2.1-b3 it overflows while dragging, but gets properly hidden when released.

    This video shows previous and desired effect (on ST 1.x but it worked the same way on ST 2.0) it has changed now in ST 2.1-b3.
