    Default BasicDialog and Yahoo tooltip

    Does someone already try to have a yahoo tooltip on a div which is in a basicdialog.

    The z-index of the tooltip is smaller than the dialog so they are not visible.

    Any solution?

    thanks a lot

    Couldn't you use Element's setStyle to make your tooltip appear above everything?

    alex1r, I don't understand what you are asking. Also tooltips are made with Yahoo UI, you don't *need* to use yui-ext for a tooltip since Yahoo UI takes care of them already.

    Here is an example using Yahoo UI:

    		<script type="text/javascript">
    			YAHOO.example.container.tt1 = new YAHOO.widget.Tooltip("tt1", { context:"ctx", text:"My text was set using the 'text' configuration property" });
    		<div id="ctx">Hover over me to see a Tooltip!</div>
    You can read more here:

    Is this the answer you were looking for? If not please paste your code since I don't really understand your question.

    I have solved my problem by setting a z-index:12000; in the file container.css for the class .tt.

    So now, the tooltips are always on top.
