Thread: Android ICS & Sencha

    Default Android ICS & Sencha

    I saw a similar thread, but do not have a clue on what is the root cause or how to fix. I have a hybrid application and Sencha code is located under assets/web. The code is working well for Gingerbread and below but does not for ICS.
    Here is what I observed in the log:

    java.lang.Throwable: EventHub.removeMessages(int what = 107) is not supported before the WebViewCore is set up.
    W/webcore ( 4250): at android.webkit.WebViewCore$EventHub.removeMessages(
    W/webcore ( 4250): at android.webkit.WebViewCore$EventHub.access$7900(
    W/webcore ( 4250): at android.webkit.WebViewCore.removeMessages(
    W/webcore ( 4250): at android.webkit.WebView.sendOurVisibleRect(
    W/webcore ( 4250): at android.webkit.ZoomManager.setZoomScale(
    W/webcore ( 4250): at android.webkit.ZoomManager.access$1700(
    W/webcore ( 4250): at android.webkit.ZoomManager$
    W/webcore ( 4250): at android.os.Handler.handleCallback(
    W/webcore ( 4250): at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(
    W/webcore ( 4250): at android.os.Looper.loop(
    W/webcore ( 4250): at
    W/webcore ( 4250): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method)
    W/webcore ( 4250): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(
    W/webcore ( 4250): at$
    W/webcore ( 4250): at

    Finally I saw couple lines like :
    D/chromium( 4250): Unknown chromium error: -6
    D/chromium( 4250): Unknown chromium error: -6

    Needless to say it is very important to have ICS supported, otherwise the only choice we have is to use native.

    Default More with latest Sencha

    I just saw the new version is available and tried immediately, I do not longer see an exception but nothing is displayed and last 2 lines still appear:
    D/chromium( 4861): Unknown chromium error: -6
    D/chromium( 4861): Unknown chromium error: -6

    I moved kitchen sink from and put on Android devices no issues for OS < IOS, IOS has the same problem as my app reporting:
    Unknown chromium error: -6 , Any suggestions ?

    Its a caching problem...

    Just try this:

    //This fix this Bug
        disableCaching: false
    // Define our application

    Thank you for you suggestion, but it does not work and bring exactly the same results. I tried on my laptop execute Sencha app from a local file system and made it work only after I added following lines:

    enabled: true,
    disableCaching: true

    I tried setting disableCache to false but after that the app stopped running locally, I never was not able to make it running when code is ICS resident.
