Default Version 3 not supported for updated browsers?

This was just posted by Sencha related to ExtJS v3.4:

FireFox 10 isn't supported. This should be checked against Ext JS 4.

Does this mean that Sencha's policy is that the immediately prior version is orphaned regarding updated browsers??

This means that there is *no* ExtJS version that works properly with FF 10 as ExtJS 4 still has many bugs and performance issues.

Looks to be all that is needed is the agent check to be updated.

So does that mean that Sencha will update the agent check and provide the updated code?

Add this to your bug list:

If you double click on a grid item in a tab, which causes another tab to be opened, the entire contents of the browser is selected as if you hit ctrl-A. This happens in the newer chrome browsers.

I am pursuing a concrete stance from Sencha about this. It may take some time for everyone to agree but the ball is rolling.

What's the answer? The very fact that it now requires discussion would seem to imply that there is no policy for support of v3 to updated browsers.

Regarding fixes that result from tickets...svn shows no functional code changes to v3.4 in the past 7 months. Have there been *no* fixes provided via tickets? Or, are the real code changes being done via git and not being put into svn?

The issue of Sencha providing real support for v3 while v4 is being completed is essential for anyone whose business is dependent upon the product. We simply must know what to expect.

Just saw a draft that is being sent for a few people's approval yesterday and is looking really good! We will release it once people sign off on it.

This blog entry is not visible on the main blog page so no one will know it exists...(well, almost no one)

Also, it does not address if the v3x source updates will be available to support subscribers in svn. Is that the case or not?
