Thread: I would like more runtime properties (set methods)

You found a bug! We've classified it as EXTJS-5152 . We encourage you to continue the discussion and to find an acceptable workaround while we work on a permanent fix.

Default I would like more runtime properties (set methods)

It happens often to me that I want to change something for an already existing component and I find out that it's a config option only. For instance:

    resizable:
turn on and off user-resizability. I discovered that it can be done through resizer.disable() and resizer.enable(), but these are undocumented methods.

    border:
turn border on or off (border doesn't behave as documented anyway!).

    draggable/droppable:
change these options to make a rendered component draggable or to turn draggability off...

It seems that most properties are implemented as config options only. I wonder if I'm the only one who often misses the runtime set methods?

I can't think of a reason why you would want to turn borders off after instantiation. Disabling dragging would be useful.
