Default Answered: Question from a very beginner

    Hi,
I start to work with ext JS with a new project. The idea is to have interactions with database and php.
My very first question is how to start? Sorry for this "stupid" question..
In fact, my idea is to have a page with a menu in the head and a dynamic space in the rest of the page.
The dynamic space can be filled with different grids. I think I understood how to work with grids but my "first" problem if to have the "layout" with the menu and the dynamic space. I'm very confused with layouts, containers...
Can you please ride me to a tutorial where I can start?

    Thanks

Take a look at the demos:

Especially take a look at the layout manager demos.

In many cases the starting point is a viewport component, which will fill the width and height of the browser. You would then fill it with components. From your description you'd probably want to use either a vbox or a border layout on your viewport to give you a region at the top.
