Ext is terrific!!
Ed Spencer said that ExtJS 4.1 was pushed to early octuber.
As I said before, the may be are more cautious because 4.0 problems.
What I was expecting the whole week is a promissed blog about it.
BTW, are you a freelancer or work for some company?
Wondering because you are located in Cuba so you surely talk spanish.

Hey,
Yes I want to be very cautious about dates for 4.1 so I'll keep quiet except to say it'll be soon. We have SenchaCon in 2 weeks time so that's making it difficult to release before then

Ed,
Any news about the next release (4.07) to customers? I believe there has been many fixes since 4.06 release and it would be nice to have some idea since it has just come to light that 4.1 might be at least 2 weeks away?
Although I do understand delays, I am also a bit concerned that numerous features that were displayed in SenchaCon last year are still not available, or working as presented, and you are about to have another conference.
Makes one wonder if people attending this year will simply get a review of last years conference, only to say 'we are getting closer' to releasing those features, while deferring the excitement to perhaps another product such as the upcoming Touch 2.0 launch?
Regards,
Scott.
Hey Scott,
4.0.7 is likely to be the final 4.0.x patch so we've been taking time to get it right. I think we're ready to share it with a few early testers (drop me an email to [email protected] with your name, company, forum username and email if you want in) before seeding to the support community.
2011 has been a great year for us by many measures but in some cases our execution didn't live up to our ambition. We've improved that internally so much that engineering looks like a different company than the one that shipped 4.0 just 6 months ago but the proof will be in the next two deliveries (4.1 and ST 2.0). I hope we can win back your trust (plus we have a few surprises lined up for the conference)

Ed,
Thanks for the prompt reply. You seem to very responsive in these forums during a hectic release schedule.
Although I have concerns, Sencha has never lost my trust. I recommend ExtJS whenever possible and I have moved our development to almost exclusively ExtJS in the past year. We have rewritten numerous Win32 and PHP apps ... and could not be happier with results, as are our customers.
At the end of the day, I would rather have it working and take longer, than hurried and on time.
I do however think it helps tremendously when asked, to provided progress to users that have been waiting for a long time, even if it is to say, "we are still working a new release hopefully for the next week or so" rather than some flip "when it is ready" comments provided by others.
I will fire an email off shortly,
Thanks again.
Regards,
Scott.
My vote (if I had one) would be to not to even try to release anything just prior to the conference. 4.0 dropped rather prematurely, just before the trip to Croatia, putting both Sencha and customers in something of a bind when problems cropped up much of the team were indisposed.
As much as I want this release soon, and I want it to fix my problems, I want it to be ready, as I know you do.
