    Question Modal window mask does not mask tab close buttons (x-tab-strip-close)

    Unfortunately I did not find any threads concerning this problem, so I'll post it here. There seems to be a bug in ExtJS 3.4 when masking document.body by opening a modal window when the background contains tab panels and/or collapsed panels. Please take a look at these images:

    1) unmasked layout
    2) modal window in firefox
    3) modal window in ie 8

    ExtJS 3.4 does not mask the tab close buttons at all. I still can click on them and the tab close action is fired, regardless of the modal window on top. I can expand the collapsed panel, too. In Internet Explorer 8, the collapsed panel is even rendered ON TOP of my modal window. As are the close buttons of the tab panel

    Is there a workaround for this?

    Question

    I localized the problem. Someone added this code to our application css for some reason:
    Code:
    .ext-el-mask{
        z-index: auto !important;
    }
    This completely messes up the z-index handling obviously.
