I would expect a serious involvement of Sencha team - most of our customers are IE and i cannot have them being impacted to that extent

Not to date, which is a little surprising. Hopefully they are looking into it before commenting....

I've spent more time analysing 3.3.1 vs 4.0.0 and the results are not looking great for 4.0.0 across any browser.
System 1
Dual Core Xeon - 2.5Ghz
4GB RAM
Windows XP Pro 32bit - SP3
Average time based on:
Five refreshes per browser
Loading of Page and Scripts to Completed Layout
EXTJS 3.3.1
Test Page : http://localhost/ext3.3.1/examples/themes/index.html
EXTJS 4.0.0
Test Page : http://localhost/ext4.0.0/examples/themes/index.html

MrSparks,
I am not sure if it was intentional, but your Test Pages reference your local dev environment.
Thanks!

Have noticed the same performance issues with ExtJS 4.0.0 in IE8 as compared to ExtJS 3.3.1. Also the API docs are extremely slow in anything other than Chrome. Average around 8 seconds to load a page like Ext.container.AbstractContainer.

We are actively investigating the source of the IE performance issues. Thanks for all of the test cases, this will help us isolate the issue.

Aaron, again it's *not just IE* that's the problem. ExtJS 4 is slower than 3.3.1 on all browsers....
