    Default getComponent

    Good evening,

    I have a question about getComponent. Can it only be used to find child items of the container, or can it find child items from the parent container?

    Thank you,

    Dag

    Default

    for that, you would use this.ownerCt.getComponent('someItemId');

    Default thank you!

    Thank you, Jay. Your book has been invaluable. I've been a long time drag-and-drop .NET developer and I decided to grow up and take the plunge with ExtJS. It's been frustrating and sometimes daunting, but without your book I would have most likely given up months ago.
