    Default Enter pressed in textarea types 2 new lines instead of one!

    Hi Everyone

    I have a text area inside a panel (I am using the extjs designer by the way).
    For some reason, when I press enter in the text area, I recieve 2 line feeds instead one 1(The cursor inside the text area moves 2 lines instead of one).
    I dont have any events connected to this textarea..
    I have no idea why this happens
    I really need some help!
    Thanks
    Here is the code:
    paUi = Ext.extend(Ext.Panel, {
    layout: 'form',
    labelWidth: 170,
    headerAsText: false,
    hideBorders: true,
    border: false,
    initComponent: function() {
    this.items = [
    {
    xtype: 'textarea',
    fieldLabel: 'Description',
    width: 430,
    itemId: 'DESC',
    name: 'DESC',
    enableKeyEvents: true,
    ref: 'DESC'
    ];
    paUi.superclass.initComponent.call(this);
    }
    });

    Can not replicate. I took your code and stuck it over here in a simple, single page and got no errors...Ext version, browser and browser version?

    You _are_ of course making a [new paUi({})] not just trying to use [paUi], right?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply
    I am using IE8 and EXT 3.2.1.
    The code is auto generated by the Ext designer so the paUI creation is fine...
    Where exactly did you paste the code to test it?
