Connection with SQL Server through PHP file

Hi,

I am pretty new to JS and I'm having big troubles to understand how can I connect to my SQL Server 2005 database. From what I found in the forum past threads I need a PHP file to make a connection but I couldn't find detailed explanation to do so.

Anyone can give me a clue?

You don't have to use PHP. If you're using SQL Server I would assume you're also using .NET:
