    Lightbulb Accordion Applications

    Hi all,

I'm starting this thread to have a place where Accordion/InfoPanel applications can be posted.

I've receive very nice example from yuki.

    Here it is: http://ongmap.com

If you have some interesting links with Accordion, please post them.

    Enjoy,
    Jozef Sakalos, aka Saki

    Thanks Saki.

Please note that my site (ongmap.com) is, as in its name, a MAP site on the shared server and is hosted in Japan. So, loading the script and Google Map may take a bit of time.

In addition, for first time visitors, I'm using GeoIP to find where they are from and decide the initial location of map. GeoIP is good, but sometimes it takes to time...

Once the script is loaded, it should be OK.

    Please be patient, and enjoy

Do you use the free or full version of GeoIP? What API do you use? I just tried the free Version with the Java API and got null for my IP although your application shows a city near me...

I'm using free & JavaScript version of GeoIP. I have not tried Java version, so, I can't tell you why you are getting null. BTW, it's always nice to know that GeoIP is pointing you to the right place

You do not use a JavaScript API as far as I can see, a php script delivers you the location.

I found out that for me http://www.ipaddresslocation.org is much better, but sadly much slower... How about your location?

Perhaps I will use the GeoIP for a fast approximation and the better one afterwards.

Well, your are right. For those who visited the site ONCE before, I'm not using GeoIP. But for the first time visitor, I'm using GeoIP to find approx. lat/lng of that visitor, and storing the data to DB so that I can skip using GeoIP next time he/she comes back

I didn't know about "ipaddresslocation", but it looks it's giving me a pair of lat/lng which is far off from where I am (country/city looked OK, though)

I've posted this before but not in this thread.

It uses the accordion with Google Maps:
