ExtJS vs Ext GWT for Java Enterprise application

Hi,

I'm programming with ExtJS for 5 years now and I think it is the best framework to use if you are building a web enterprise application. I used PHP and Java in the past. Anyway, short time ago we decided to start a new project based on Spring 3.0 and dm server (OSGI based development).

My question is - what do you suggest - shoud we use GXT or ExtJS for our front end?
I don't know much about GXT and my concerns are related with versions - If a new version of ExtJS comes out, how much time is needed that GXT follows? If I have a component in ExtJS, what is needed to rewrite it in GXT?

I would only recommend Ext GWT to Java developers without Ext JS knowledge.

If you already know Ext JS then stick with that and just build JSON based interfaces in Spring.
