Default Paging a Grid when total number of records is unknown?

With certain databases, one cannot determine the total number of records without querying for each record and then computing a total. For tens of thousands of records, this gets quite computationally expensive. Right now (Sep 2010), Azure Tables are like this.

Can ExtJS's grid support paging when the total number of records is unknown? I'd simply like to page through the results 25 records at a time and then stop when it hits the end. I don't need to jump forward to page X, for example.
