Default "General" click event for Toolbars?

Is there a simple way to get a single event (that passes the button that was clicked) at the toolbar level when any button on the toolbar is clicked?

I can approximate this by adding the same handler to every single button on the toolbar, but it seems like there would be a simpler way. Also, my particular application needs to buffer the response to the click by 1 to 2 seconds--doing this on each separate event handler only buffers multiple clicks on that button, not clicks on several different buttons during the buffer delay.

Although I haven't tested it I think that you could listen to clicks on the toolbar component's body, identify the item clicked in the handler and fire your own event, e.g. "toolbarclick"
