View Full Version : Double border lines problem in border layout

14 Dec 2009, 10:48 PM
Using border layout with center and west regions.
Both regions have border :true set as config option as I need to display border arround both regions. But this displayed double(thicker) border line where west and center regions meet as border config is true for both.

Is there a way to specify the I do not display border on left or right, top or bottom of a panel?

If you put a Panel in a Panel, each one will have a border!

Do you need to nest like that?

Do you have to use the Panel class, or can you use Container or BoxComponent?

If you NEED to use the Panel class (ie, you need a header, or tbar or bbar or footer), then you can ask it not to have borders.

Or, you can space the borders using margins.

It's all up to how you want to handle it!

Thanks Animal for your reply
I had a similar issue
Let me explain the problem in a border layout with two regions center and west if both have border : true set the line joining two regions will have double border.

How can we avoid this.
Probably we need to set border-left for center panel's body as false.
