View Full Version : Minimize Restore Standard Options?

I have a window and I added the minimize functionality partially from a desktop example. What I would like to do is easily minimize a window and easy restore button puts it back in non-collapsed form. This would be great if all windows minimized would stack in the lower left for example neatly.

How do I do this with window object?

new Ext.Window({
id: 'reportingPanel',
collapsible: true,
closeAction :'hide',
closable: true,
minimizable: true,
height : 400,
width : 800,
layout : 'fit',

You could write a plugin for that.

I could but I won't. Looking at http://dawelbeit.info/2008/11/18/minimizable-extjs-windows/ I figured it was standard functionality and that example was just more advanced.

So your saying the minimizable: true does nothing out of the box?

What could it do?

The range of possibly desirable behaviours is beyond the bounds of a general purpose Window. There's that option you linked to which minimizes to an image (At a fixed position? or not?). There's minimizing to a TaskBar, there's all kind of possible application-specific possibilities that the concept "minimize" might cover.

Minimize behaviour need to be plugged in.
