View Full Version : Javascript files and debugging

Hi all,

I have noticed that firebug is very slow when debugging the ext-all-debug.js file. Is it possible to use the individual js files in the source directory instead? This might speed things up significantly. If so is there a include order?

Whether you use the single file or all the files I think you're going to have the same issue. It's still a large number of JS source lines. Firebug may deal with a boatload of smaller files better than a single one, but I don't know that I'd want to type in all those includes to find out :) You might post on the Firebug forum to see if anybody's done any testing in that regard. As far as ordering all the files, you're best bet is probably to use the ext.jsb file as a ref.
