View Full Version : Combobox limits

Newbie question. I have tried to convert an existing working combobox (php)
echo "<option value='0' selected='selected'>Select a business type...</option>\n";
<option value=4191 >Abalone fishing</option>
<option value=11110>Abattoir operation - except poultry</option>
<option value=11120>Abattoir operation - poultry</option>
<option value=32990>Abrasive blasting</option>
<option value=21330>Zinc smelting or refining</option>
<option value=89210>Zoological garden operation</option>
that contains more than 2700 options where the displayed section is alpha sorted to the 'ext' form with -
Ext.BLANK_IMAGE_URL = 'images/default/s.gif'; // Ext 3.0
var converted = new Ext.form.ComboBox({
typeAhead: true,
triggerAction: 'all',
transform: 'anzsic',
width: 400,
mode: 'local',
forceSelection: true,
LazyRender: true,
emptyText: 'Select a business type...'
Now everything appears to be working right and it submits correctly except the order of the displayed descriptions is no longer sorted and a lot of them are no longer available. No errors or omissions are indicated by firefly or htmltidy. Viewing the source indicates the selection list is still complete and in alpha order.

My question is regarding the invocation of the transforming combobox. Have I missapplied, missed or included something incorrectly. If I have exceeded a 'reasonable' boundary of combobox, where could I adjust the limitation (I know this many slows it up a bit).

Thanking you in advance..:)
