We are using EXT 2.2.1 currently for our project in Wipro BPO Ltd. India.
We have taken license for 2.2.1. So, what we should do for upgrading to EXT 3.0?
Please let me know about the licensing and the technical replacements as well.
I need a proper document instructions for this.

I already know the advantages of EXT 3.0. But need to use it fully.

Thanks & Regards,

Ext3.0 is almost fully backwards compatible with 2.x

You can see a list of breaking changes here: http://extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70352

The changelog is on the download page.

You'll want to check any extensions to see if the author has upgraded them.

Thanks for the reply. But I need something else.
In-fact I need to know the procedure of upgrading interms of license and how to replace the ext 2.2.1 library and use EXT 3.0 Library.

You have given the link about changes or new additons in EXT 3.0

It depends on whether you've purchased a license or not. If you're in doubt contact [email protected]

To upgrade, you just need to swap out the resources folder and the ext-base and ext-all files with the new download.

Hi ,

I work for Wipro Technolgies India. We are planning to upgrade our application from Ext Js 2.2.1 to Ext 4.0.7 .
So will you please provide me the complete upgrade guide speaking about the changes to be made.

Also any links which can explain the enhancements happened from extjs 2.2.1 to extjs 4.0.7 ?
Do I need to rewrite the whole code in the latest version or is it possible if we just make the upgrade successful with minimum modifications ?

Please Help ! :s
