View Full Version : How to use the doc ?

Very stupid question, it seems yeah, but many functions or attributes I see in samples or in the code on the forums aren't listed in the doc.
For example in this file : http://www.extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/grid/array-grid.js
I don't see any attributes named viewConfig in the class GridPanel... How could I guess ? Is it a customized attribute... I don't know. And so I don't write code really fast.

Not sure what doc you're looking at, but viewConfig is documented.

If you see something that you can't find in the doc, you can certainly search the source for it. If it's truly undocumented, please report it in the existing sticky bug documentation thread.

Sorry, I said bulls. It is showConfig in the viewConfig part. In the doc we just know that we have to create an object... Great !

what is your problem finding it?
2late :)

Yes, I know sorry.
Here's what's written in the doc :
A config object that will be applied to the grid's UI view. Any of the config options available for Ext.grid.GridView (http://extjs.com/forum/../deploy/dev/docs/output/Ext.grid.GridView.html) can be specified here. This option is ignored if view (http://extjs.com/forum/../deploy/dev/docs/output/Ext.grid.GridPanel.html#Ext.grid.GridPanel-view) is specified.

But how can we know how to create this object, its type, attributes etc ?

It's just a config object

{foo:'bar', x:1}

As the doc says, any config option of GridView can be used.
