[solved][EXT x] Function delay {no not deffer}

hello all

i know this is dumb but any chance someone can point to me how to specify minimum time for function execution

i am trying to attach a handler to rowSelectionModel selectionChange but i need not to handle every selection change; i would like the user to pause for a few splits of a second before i invoke the handler -showing row details-

i remember their is a config option for the addListner or the function class, or was it something i read at javascript the definitive guide:-?
