View Full Version : [FIXED] Ext.Number.randomInt - incorrect documentation

14 Aug 2017, 6:30 AM
Ext.Number.randomInt (https://docs.sencha.com/extjs/6.5.1/modern/Ext.Number.html#method-randomInt) documentation is not correct.

The doc states that this method returns "A random integer within the specified range"

This method uses the Math.random (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/Math/random) method which returns pseudo-random numbers.

There's a huge difference between a random and pseudo-random number.

A computer is not able to generate random numbers and it's not even possible to prove that a sequence of numbers is random or not.
