14 May 2008, 4:22 AM
I want to understand,

I can use the ext's controls free, and only the support cost?
or I need to pay if I want to use it?

I download the examples and with all the files i downloaded it works..

but I when I tried to do a file by myself. and to include just the files mentioded in the html specific files it didn't work..

so I assumed I need more files or dll or something,
but I didn't get any error message, it just didn't work...

welcome to the forums.

Please read http://extjs.com/products/license.php and address any licensing concerns to [email protected]

Everything works out of the zip file that is downloadable. No special stuff required. Please post relevant code in PHP or code tags so we can assist you with your issues.

the back end doesn't matter to Ext. As long as it can talk to a browser :)

You may want to look here:

Your first three questions just happen to be the first three questions in the FAQ! ;)

I just try to show you the code but it immediatly translate into view..even I put it in code tags..what I did is simply.
I took the combos.html example file,put is in new folder, I copied all relevant files and put them in the folder with no sub folder, and then change all the src and href to the new pathas like here:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/ext-all.css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/xtheme-gray.css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/combos.css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/examples.css" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="/ext-all.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/ext-base.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/states.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/combos.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/examples.js"></script>

< input type="text" id="local-states" size="20"/>

when I open it in the browser it just shows me the textbox, and the code-
is not even hidden as sopposed to be...

Apparently you didn't read the FAQ link I posted? Your first 3 questions were the first 3 in the FAQ, at least one problem with the code you posted is FAQ #5.

You need to match the code tags. Use [ ] not < >
