Can Chrome debugging work without sourcemaps?

Do we need Sencha watch to generate sourcemaps to be able to put breakpoint with the Chrome debugging?

Can I start Sencha watch manually from the command line and still get this to work?

This started to work today after I exclude a bunch of folders, like target/build folders. I don't even need to start Chrome in debug mode on my Windows machine.

However, considering that by using this way of debugging I'm losing Sencha App Inspector Chrome plug-in, it's barely useful.
