View Full Version : Combobox height issue

25 Mar 2015, 5:24 AM

I have a combo box aligned with a display field, and i am trying to set the height of combobox(without expanded) that should look lined up with the display field.

I tried to override the loadingHeight of combobox but it is not getting updated. I tried to override this with listConfig and defaultListConfig, but nothing worked.

Can anyone please tell me how i can control the height of the combobox (the height of box where the default selected value and trigger control is) ?

Can you use the height (http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/4.2.1/#!/api/Ext.form.field.ComboBox-cfg-height) config?

Hi, Thanks for replying !!

I tried in the same fiddle If you can try the height with 5 or 10 pixes you will see that height of combobox is fix and the value field height is reduced. You can just place 10 px and try it in the same fiddle.

I want to reduce the height of overall comobox. Please suggest !!

Hi. Someone found a solution for this? I have the same problem trying to resize the height property with 10px.

Fields have a minimum supported height based on a lot of different configurations. If you're going smaller, you'll have to override the CSS like the font size, line-height, trigger image size/height, field's label sizes/heights, various margins/padding, etc.

It would probably be easier to change the display field to match the minimum supported height of the fields. A simple way to 'line fields up' is to create 'rows of fields', instead of 'columns of fields' (assuming this construct is even applicable in your scenario).

Just my two cents :)

just set a style of padding-top until you get the desired height
